How it began

CreativeCulture is in international programme designed to explore, exploit and experiment the impact of arts, design and culture in enhancing creative thinking and development in education (primary and secondary levels) through game design and computational thinking as an approach and instrument for fostering creative problem solving and transcultural practices in Malaysia.
Funded under Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MoHE) under the NEWTON-UNGKU OMAR (NUOF) programme, the CreativeCulture project aims to expand the GameChangers programme, initiated at Coventry University’s Disruptive Media Learning Lab, to address educational challenges within the context of inclusive learning for learners from the rural parts of Malaysia Borneo.

The MyCapsule Space

MyCapsule Space, the first Gamification Lab in Malaysia, is the self-designed lab that focuses on the principles of 21st century learning spaces. Most importantly, it is specifically designed to encourage co-creation and promote playful learning experience. MyCapsule Space is located at the lower-ground of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology building (Block A).
