‘What Is Your Story?’ is a playful card-based activity to engage learners in creative and abstract thinking. ‘What Is Your Story?’ encourage students to use their visual literacy and verbal communication skills to explore topics in a fun way. ‘What Is Your Story?’ can be 

  1. Used with range of audiences across levels and disciplines
  2.  Made topic specific by structuring workshop delivery around topics or adapting the new images design

The aim of the game is for players to create a narrative around a given topic using the People, Context and Activity cards, and share it with other players. It can encourages learners to create an abstract concept and develop the confidence in sharing  ideas.

For the rules of play, it can be 2 -8 players per deck of cards. The step to play :

  1.  Select one card from each element deck
  2. Two minutes to look at the cards and think of a fictional narrative that links the three story elements to the theme of the round
  3. Each player in turn tells their story
  4. Choose which player that had the best story
