The team (Dr Angela Siner – team leader, Dr Paul CS Divis, Dr Ayu Akida, Dr Rekaya Vincent Balang, Assoc Prof Dr Jacey Lynn Minoi – our Gamification Centre director, and Dr Fitri) spent the last 4 days in Kapit, sharing and exchanging knowledge about Malaria and its prevalence in this part of the Sarawak. We integrated the Malaria content with gamification elements, making the interactions playful yet impactful. We teased out their worries about their risks contracting Malaria, and we learned how they have become resilient as a community, to act on any symptoms of Malaria, using traditional cures.
