We are delighted to announce the successful completion of our Online Safety Awareness Program at Tunku Putra-HELP School. The workshop, which saw the enthusiastic participation of 90 students from Year 5 and 6, focused on imparting crucial knowledge about safe internet practices.
During the workshop, students were educated on a variety of essential topics to ensure their safety in the digital world. These included:
- Online Safety: Emphasizing the importance of protecting personal information and understanding privacy settings.
- Netiquette: Teaching respectful and courteous behavior in online interactions.
- Scam Awareness: Identifying and avoiding common online scams to prevent falling victim to fraud.
- Stranger Danger: Highlighting the risks of talking to strangers online and the importance of maintaining online boundaries.
- Safe Downloads: Understanding the dangers associated with downloading files from unknown sources, which could potentially harbor malicious software or compromise personal data.
The program aimed to empower our young digital citizens with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the internet safely and responsibly. We believe that by educating our students on these critical issues, we are taking significant steps toward creating a safer online environment for everyone.
