Established in 2020, the Gamification Centre grew from the success of the CreativeCulture initiative, supported by Newton-Ungku Omar and AHRC UKRI in 2017. The myCapsule Space serves as a hub for innovative teaching and learning, specialising in gamification research and development.

In 2022, with funding from GCRF UKRI’s ACES programme, the team transformed a UNIMAS bus into a fully electric, off-grid STEAM learning and research space.
