FAiR Project Kick-Off: STEAM Beach Festival a Resounding Success at Kampung Pasir Pandak
On September 15, 2024, the first FAiR Project Kick-Off event, the STEAM Beach Festival, was held at Kampung Pasir Pandak with overwhelming success! This collaborative initiative was made possible through partnerships with KJM Salak, KRT Pasir Pandak, and JKKK Pasir Pandak, uniting the local community and organizers in a day filled with creativity, learning, and environmental consciousness.
The festival featured four hands-on workshops, including Community Engagement Doodling, Repurpose Collage, Cyanotype Print from Nature Workshop, and Nature Bracelet Activity. The event beautifully merged art and science, sparking environmental awareness and innovation in the most interactive and engaging ways.
Leading the workshops were our talented Artist-in-Residence, Angelina Bong, and Noorhaslina Senin, a Senior Lecturer in the Design Technology Programme at the Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts (FACA). Together, they brought their artistic and academic expertise to the forefront, creating a rich and inspiring experience for all attendees. Their collaborative leadership was instrumental in making each session engaging and educational.
